Students with strong academics, good performance on standardized exams & extra curricular achievements would be eligible for scholarship awards.
There are several types of study abroad scholarships to apply for such as:

Merit-based:

These scholarships are based on a student's academic or other abilities, and often play a role in student's extracurricular activities record.

Student-based:

These are scholarships for students who qualify based on factors such as gender, race, religion, family and medical history.

Destination-based:

These are scholarships awarded by a country to students who want to pursue a program in that particular country.

Program-based:

Program-specific scholarships are offered by individual colleges and universities where they may be associated to applicants.

Subject-based:

Subject-specific scholarships are awarded by Universities or institutions to students based on their particular major or field of study.

Who Should Apply?

The candidates applying for financial aid must keep in mind that there are certain factors and requisites claiming it. The candidates who are fit for scholarships are those with high level of academic achievement, high standardized examination scores (GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS etc.), who have financial need but have private funds too & who specialize in a field relevant to the department and faculty.

WHO CAN APPLY?

To be eligible for the IELTS scholarship, you must:
  • be a resident and citizen of India
  • have taken the IELTS test with the British Council recently
  • have a minimum overall IELTS band score of 6.0
  • produce a valid letter of acceptance / offer letter from a recognised education institution that accepts IELTS as part of its admissions criteria
  • begin an under graduate or post graduate programme outside India

INDIAN SCHOLARSHIPS :

As one of the world’s largest groups of study-abroad, Indian students are often able to benefit from scholarship schemes aimed specifically at them. While many of these are for masters or PhD programs only, there are also a growing number of grants and scholarships offered specifically for Indian undergraduate or postgraduate students.

SCHOLARSHIPS GIVEN BY UNIVERSITIES :
